Wellbeing Information Event with the European Labour Authority (ELA)

INA Ježevo Secure Parking (A3 Highway) & Zagreb, Croatia

May 19, 2026 - May 20, 2026
A Special Pilot Roadshow Combining Official Information and Driver Wellbeing Support

We are proud to participate in the first SSPA Local Information Event (Roadshow) pilot, organised by the European Labour Authority (ELA) in close collaboration with the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and the European Secure Parking Organisation (ESPORG).

Why INA Ježevo? A Strategic ESPORG Member Parking

The drivers’ part of the event will take place at INA Ježevo Gas Station Parking Lot, a secure parking area located on the A3 highway (direction Slavonski Brod / Bajakovo). This busy transit corridor connects Western and South-Eastern Europe and is frequently used by international heavy goods vehicle drivers.

As an ESPORG Member, INA Ježevo is recognised for its commitment to safety, security, and driver comfort. The facility offers controlled access, surveillance, clean sanitary facilities, and a reliable place for drivers to rest. Its strategic location makes it an ideal setting to reach international drivers who need quality stopping points during long journeys.

This choice aligns perfectly with the objectives of the European Wellbeing Initiative (Ewellin) by bringing wellbeing awareness and practical support directly to where drivers actually stop and rest.

About the Event

Led by the European Labour Authority (ELA), this pilot roadshow aims to enhance awareness of social legislation in road transport (particularly Mobility Package I) while promoting safe and secure parking areas as essential infrastructure for driver rest and safety.

The event consists of two complementary parts:

  • Drivers Event (evening session): A friendly, on-site information stand and direct engagement at INA Ježevo parking lot. Experts will approach drivers at their vehicles (with interpreters in the most common languages), answer questions about their rights and obligations, and distribute practical materials. The atmosphere will combine official ELA information with the warm, human-centred message of our “Drive Safe, Park Safe, Work Safe & Live Well” campaign.
  • Operators Event (morning/early afternoon in Zagreb): A dedicated session for transport operators, social partners, and national authorities. The programme will cover driving and rest time rules, posting of drivers, and the importance of quality secure parking for compliant and safer operations.

A permanent ELA information corner will be established at INA Ježevo, ensuring drivers have continuous access to clear, multilingual information materials even after the event.

Our Contribution & Support to the Wellbeing Campaign

The European Wellbeing Initiative is pleased to support this important ELA initiative. Our team will contribute by:

  • Sharing practical insights on driver wellbeing and the benefits of quality rest areas
  • Promoting the Wellbeing Pledge and the “Drive Safe, Park Safe, Work Safe & Live Well” approach
  • Helping turn secure parking areas into real “Home Away from Home” environments

This pilot perfectly complements our Wellbeing Days series by linking official information on social legislation with concrete actions that improve drivers’ daily lives, reduce fatigue, and enhance road safety.

We warmly thank the European Labour Authority (ELA) for taking the lead on this valuable pilot project and for their strong commitment to fair labour mobility and better working conditions in the road transport sector.
