We are excited to announce the next beautiful chapter in the 2026 European Wellbeing Initiative (Ewellin): Wellbeing Days at Andamur La Junquera – a key secure service area strategically located right at the Spain-France border in Girona.

Powered by ESPORG and launched with the support of the European Commission and more than 150 stakeholders, Ewellin is a gentle, people-first movement that places the health, safety, happiness, and resilience of professional drivers at the heart of European transport.

This Year’s Campaign Focus: “Park Safe” – Dedicated to Parking Operators and the “Home Away from Home” Concept

2026 continues as the year of the “Park Safe” awareness campaign, fully dedicated to parking and rest areas. Together with our partners, we warmly promote the “Home Away from Home” vision — transforming parking facilities into welcoming, supportive spaces where drivers can truly rest, recharge body and mind, and feel genuinely cared for on their journeys.

Andamur La Junquera is an excellent example of this vision in action: a modern, secure stop designed with drivers’ real needs in mind, especially for those crossing one of Europe’s busiest borders.

Located at AP7 Salida 2, C/ Bassegoda 4, 17700 La Junquera (Girona), just before the French border, Andamur La Junquera offers a complete service experience for professional drivers. The facility features 105 secure truck parking spaces with advanced security (number plate recognition, 24/7 guard, video surveillance, and perimeter fencing), 24/7 fuel station, restaurant, shop, showers, gym, laundry, and more — making it a true full-service hub on the Mediterranean corridor.

Andamur has developed several important initiatives focused on driver wellbeing and comfort, including enhanced rest facilities, security improvements, and programmes that go beyond basic services to create a more supportive environment for professional drivers.
